Khandelwal Grub Nash as biopesticide is effective solution supplied by Way2Agritech for the management of white grubs found in various crops. Grub Nash, developed based on technology provided by ICAR, contains infective juveniles of Entomopathogenic Nematodes (EPNs), specifically Heterorhabditis indica, which actively search for and infect the target pests in the soil. Once inside the grub, these nematodes release symbiotic bacteria that lead to the death of the pest within 48–96 hours through a unique biological mechanism of action. Grub Nash bio-insecticide’s targeted approach ensures efficient control of white grubs in the soil at the larva and pupal stage but not effective for adult rhinoceros beetles those damage the crown. Grubnash is safe for crops and beneficial organisms and suitable for organic farming targeting sustainable and integrated pest management.

Dosage & Method of Application

  1. 1.Soil application: Mix 3-5 kg of Grub Nash in 100-150 kg of sand, soil, manure, vermicompost or cocopeat and apply near root zone of crop.
  2. 2.Soil drenching: 100 g/15 L of water and 1300 grams per 200 liter barrel.
  3. 3.Frequency of application: 20–30 days interval if affected soil and once in 3 months if protective.

Crop-Product Advisory

  1. 1.Best suited for: Grub Nash is an organic bio-insecticide specifically to control subsoil root-eating pests, most notably destructive white grubs (root grubs), root knot nematode, termites & weevils.
  2. 2.Application method: Best applied as soil drench or root-zone application in moist soil for effective grub contact and control.
  3. 3.EPNs are highly active biocontrol agents, their success against the coconut rhinoceros beetle relies entirely on targeting them in their underground breeding before they transform into crown damaging adults. The crown and its topmost leaf axils need to be filled with mix of neem cake and sand to repel boring adults besides adoption of natural trap methods to kill them.
  4. 4.Recommended combination: Can be combined with organic manure or neem cake to improve soil health and pest suppression.
  5. 5.Resistance management: Rotate with other bio-pesticides or compatible insecticides for sustainable white grub management.
  6. 6.Precaution: Apply during early infestation stage and maintain adequate soil moisture for better effectiveness.
